Tugende Mu Maaso - Clean Water Access Project

Access to clean drinking water is a fundamental right, yet over 600 to 800 community members and schoolchildren in our target community in Mukono face severe daily challenges due to a lack of safe water sources. Every day, young children—especially young girls—must trek long distances before and after school to fetch water from unprotected sources. This not only puts their health at risk from preventable waterborne diseases, but also forces them to miss school and exposes them to safety hazards along isolated routes. The Tugende Mu Maaso Initiative (Maaso Initiative) is a youth-led community organization dedicated to solving this crisis. Through this campaign, we are raising UGX 3,700,000 to construct and install a dedicated clean water storage and distribution system near homes and school routes. How Your Donation Will Be Used: • Clean Water Tank & Stand Base: UGX 1,300,000 • Water Pump System & Piping: UGX 1,300,000 • Multi-Tap Distribution Points & Drainage: UGX 550,000 • Youth Technical Training & Maintenance Committee: UGX 550,000 Our team operates with 100% volunteer dedication, ensuring that every single shilling contributed goes directly into purchasing materials and constructing physical community infrastructure. By supporting this initiative, you are helping protect children's health, keep young girls in school, and build long-term infrastructure managed by local youth leaders. Please donate today via MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, or Card and share our story to bring clean water to Mukono Naggalama!

Running the London Marathon for a Children's Ward

I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for the children's ward that cared for my nephew last winter. Every pound buys toys, books and comfort items that make a hospital stay a little less frightening for a child. Funds go directly to the ward's family support team for the things the budget never stretches to.

A Diaspora Scholarship Fund for East African Students

A group of us in the diaspora want to send bright students from our home villages to university, the chance we were given a generation ago. Each full scholarship covers tuition, room and books for a year. Funds are awarded as annual scholarships, chosen on merit and need by a volunteer committee.

Emergency Relief for Kasese Flood Families132 donationsemergency

Emergency Relief for Kasese Flood Families

Flash floods from the Nyamwamba river swept homes and gardens away overnight, and hundreds of families are sheltering in a school with nothing. Blankets, clean water, food and cooking pots are needed now. Funds buy relief kits distributed through the sub-county disaster committee to the households that lost the most.

Chemotherapy Support at the Cancer Ward216 donationsmedical

Chemotherapy Support at the Cancer Ward

A course of chemotherapy is out of reach for most families who arrive at the cancer ward, and treatment stops the moment the money does. This fund covers medicines and lab tests for patients who cannot pay, so a diagnosis is not a sentence. Every contribution keeps a course of treatment going for someone who has run out of options.

Desks and Books for Gulu Primary School152 donationseducation

Desks and Books for Gulu Primary School

Three hundred pupils share the floor because there are not enough desks, and one textbook is passed between ten children. A batch of sturdy desks and a class set of books would change how these children learn every single day. Funds go directly to a local carpenter for desks and to the school for books and supplies. Give a child a place to sit and something to read.

A Youth Coding Lab for Lira89 donationseducation

A Youth Coding Lab for Lira

Dozens of school leavers in Lira want to learn to code but have no computers to practise on. A small lab of refurbished laptops and a steady internet line would open real work to a generation that would otherwise leave for the city. Funds cover ten laptops, a router and a year of connectivity, plus a trained local instructor.

Solar Power for the Lira Maternity Ward128 donationsmedical

Solar Power for the Lira Maternity Ward

When the grid fails at night, midwives at our community maternity ward deliver babies by phone torch. A solar system with battery backup would keep the lights, incubators and fridges running through every outage. Your support pays for panels, batteries, an inverter and installation by a local technician. Safe light for mothers and newborns should never depend on the weather.
